CHERRY GLAZED PORK CHOPS
You had me at cherry… My husband and I are HUGE fans of this recipe!!!! We made it twice in one week and both times were mouth watering… New staple in our house for sure!!!! It takes about 20 minutes to make with minimal ingredients!
Ingredients
2 bone in pork chops
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp minced or chopped garlic
1 cup cherry beer (I use Primitive So Last Season or Maximum Hijinks)
2 tbsp coconut sugar (you can sub brown sugar)
Dried or fresh rosemary
Salt and pepper
Instructions
1) Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and let sit out at room temp on a plate for 30 minutes and set your oven to 380 degrees.
2) In a pan, mix in the cherry beer and the coconut sugar on medium heat (stir occasionally to test thickness, this is going to be the glaze). This will take about 20 minutes.
3) While the glaze is thickening, lets make the butter mix! Just mix the melted butter with the minced or chopped garlic.
4) Heat up a cast iron skillet on medium heat. Add in a little bit (about 2 tbsp) of the butter garlic mix to the pan. Sear the pork chops until each side is browned, about 2-4 minutes on each side depending on how big your chop is.
5) Once the chops are browned on each side, add in the rest of the butter garlic mix to the pan with the chops and place in the oven for about 10 minutes or until you get an internal temp of 145. The last couple minutes that the chops are in the oven, sprinkle a little rosemary on top.
6) Once you’ve taken the chops out, your glaze should be close to done. You will start too see it bubble and become a little thicker in the pan and thats when you will turn off the heat and drizzle on top of the pork chops!!!! Enjoy :)
